Promoting Comprehensive, Coordinated and Compassionate Services for Survivors of Child Abuse
Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) are committed to improving the response to child abuse. We are a statewide network of community partnerships that utilize a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team approach to investigating child abuse. Professionals from social services, law enforcement, prosecution, victim advocacy, and the medical and mental health communities come together under one roof so that a child has to only tell of his or her abuse one time. Attention to the needs and abilities of children is the hallmark of our programs, ensuring that children are not further victimized by the systems intended to protect them.
All three CACs in North Dakota are Accredited Centers with the National Children's Alliance. The National Children's Alliance is a nationwide not-for-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote and support communities in providing a coordinated investigation and comprehensive response to victims of severe child abuse. NCA is a membership organization providing services to Children's Advocacy Centers, multidisciplinary teams, and professionals across the country.
